Jace Chaffee has been passionate about fine wine and food since his early twenties. Much influence comes from his family with relatives in Campania, Italy that grow a small amount of DOC Taurasi. His grandparents were also avid Bordeaux enthusiasts in the 60’s and 70’s; passing the passion on to his father who eventually passed it on to him. Those bottles hold great memories of family, tradition and history, and are the facets of wine that make it so important and interesting to Jace.
Jace has completed the Boston University Elizabeth Bishop Wine Studies program and also holds a Level II Certified Sommelier certificate from The Court of Master Sommeliers. However, his favorite way to learn learn and source of the most of his insight comes through travel and experiencing many different wines. He is partcularly fond of wines from the Mosel, Burgundy and Piedmont.
