I tasted the 1995 Felsina Chianti Classico Riserva today. What a beautiful wine. I wonder how many people still have the Riserva in their cellars? At 17 years of age the wine remains young. The intensity of the fruit has softened, as there are pretty scents of tobacco, licorice and sweet herbs, but the 1995 hasn't yet developed its bouquet fully. Vibrant acidity frames the salivating, mouth-watering finish. This is a great Chianti Classico Riserva that captures the essence of Sangiovese. The 1995 isn't super complex, but it is hugely delicious. In case it isn't clear, I loved it. 92 points
